"Beating the Dead Notes"

   I was trying to be ambitious with these first four pages of the strip. The idea was a bigger joke that carries through the pages while each page ends on its own gag. The guys pump up Sherman to go hit on a girl in the bar which is quashed by his bad luck, and love of chili. He crawls back to them having struck out only to learn that they didn't have some magic secret to get the girl. They're just his human buddies. This is true of any advice one recieves.
